Thank you for visiting!
During this pandemic, my heart hurt for the world and I asked myself - what can I do to help? Having to stay home opened a window of creativity to pour joy onto paper for others and myself. This body of work was created to bring joy and peace to the world.
This is a 3 part collection, all are created with dip pen and watercolor paints. Over 54 piece were made:
- Landscapes: I love the energy in these lines. These are blind contour drawings (I looked at a photograph, not the paper while I drew them).
- Florals: Fresh flowers in my house have a way of helping me ignore the laundry and dirty dishes. I'm more focused on what truly matters, loving my family and enjoying God's creation. I focused on simple compositions because I think a single flower can be more powerful than a huge bouquet. Some of these were drawn blind contour as well.
- Trees: I am in awe by the age lines in a tree stump. What if those lines could tell stories? Being a new mother, I thought about how my family is growing and creating new stories. What will our family tree look like? I hope it's filled with adventure, joy and love.

I worked with local Yogi Victoria Williams on a set of yoga meditation cards for her winter Baja Yoga Retreat called Baja Bliss. She wrote the copy and I did all of the artwork plus production work.
